FISHING COACH & PRIVATE TUTORS.

 REVOLUTIONARY HOME-BASED COACHING AND TUTORING

What to expect from our tutor sessions?

Research and preparation are core to every successful fishing trip. The time spent planning your fishing trip is just as important, if not more critical, as the time spent on the water. That’s where our coaching and mentoring tutoring sessions come into their own.

·       Have you spent hundreds of dollars on fishing lures and tackle, because the apprentice working at your local tackle store told you they were the next best thing, but still catch no fish?

·       Have you spent endless hours surfing the web and watching YouTube clips taking notes with your inspector gadget hat on trying to snoop the background to determine where they are fishing, but still catch no fish?

·       Have you fished next to someone at a beach or anchored near somebody only to watch them catch fish after fish while you don’t even get a touch, until you question your very own existence?

·       Have you used up all your wifes fishing leave and embarrassed to go again just so you don’t have to hear it?

·       Have you ever wondered what times and tides are best for fishing or what moon phases you shouldn’t fish?

·       Do you have to buy your own seafood?

If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then you’ve come to the right place and our 1 hour private coaching and mentoring tutorials will transform you into a fishing enthusiast. To give you an idea of what to expect from our 1hr coaching sessions, here are a few basic steps that are covered in each session.

1.     Background – Your mentor will uncover your previous fishing experience and background to identify your strengths and weaknesses providing the perfect landscape upon which to build.

2.     Locations – Identify which waterways are close to you and whether your boat based or landbased to formulate a plan of attack. Our mentor, over desktop, will walk you through the appropriate Navionics or CMAP chart viewer and explain how your local system works and identify hotspots including when, where and hot to target your intended species. We will give you proven spots for your target species on your waterway, not the communal GPS marks you find online, but proven spots.

3.     How to target your species – From Bass to Billfish and everything in between, we will teach you everything there is to know about your target species including the seasonal migrations and how water temps, tides and moon phases affect the fishing and identify “high percentage techniques and lures”.

4.     How to target your chosen species on lures – Lures are one of the most exhilarating ways to chase and target fish and this is a prime example where many people will spend big $$ and still come up empty handed. We will save you $$ by sifting through all the fat, and only buying the “high percentage” lures.

5.     Decluttering your tackle bag and boat – This is one of the most important factors which is often overlooked. The saying “analysis paralysis” is very applicable to fishing and I’ve watched time and time again how an angler can lose focus or confidence as he has too much variety to choose from or there’s too many obstacles laying around the boat.

6.     Making a gameplan – Regardless of how many times I’ve fished, I always have a game plan. Before every outing, I’ll develop a strategy on where and when I want to fish certain spots, in conjunction with the time of day and tides. Having all my rods tied with the correct rigs and weights to reflect the spots I’ll be fishing is the single most significant advantage you can have over your fishing peers.

7.     The list is endless - we will tailor it to suit your needs; knot tying, boating operations, how to reverse at a ramp, waypoints, what’s biting, private fish trap marks and Q&A.

Our coaching and mentoring sessions are carried out over Teams/Skype and/or phone call at a time convenient to you. They are tailored to your needs and are designed to allow you to get the most out of these sessions to broaden your knowledge base and skills. They are designed to guide you and rewire your approach to give you the ability to apply these lessons your fishing sessions to give you a sense of achievement and fulfilment.

Advantages

Take out the guess work - The biggest advantage is you will be taking out all the guess work. There will be no more trial and error on where you are trying, when you are trying or what lures/jigheads or baits you are throwing. We will be fully transparent and tell you exactly what you need.

Affordable – Whilst you do pay a fee for our services, this will be absorbed over your next few fishing trips and you will be in front as you will not be wasting money on non-productive fishing lures, tackle, fuel and other associated expenses.

Time – time is the most valuable resource and unfortunately in this new digital age, its not getting any easier. As with any artform, you need to dedicate a lot of time to research and development. We will be transferring and condensing many decades of fishing to you during our coaching session saving you time. We are also very flexible and will accommodate your mentoring session outside business hours.

Weather – whether its sunny blue skies, or blowing a gale, our coaching and mentoring sessions can proceed and they are home based.

Learn – Your session will be tailored to ensure you gain confidence and achieve success, all whilst having fun. Sure, you can jump onto a local charter and catch a bunch of fish but often the focus is on catching and not learning which is where we excel.
